Around 1500 people visited the stand, with a practical workshop on the generation and use of hydrogen and information of the initiative, during the four-day international chemistry fair
The Hydrogen Valley of Catalonia makes a very positive assessment of the reception of its stand at the international meeting of chemistry Expoquimia, held between 14 and 17 September at Fira de Barcelona and with sustainability, digitisation and technology transfer as main axes. During the four days of the fair, around 1500 people went through the Hydrogen Valley of Catalonia stand, created by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili University and offering visitors a practical workshop about generation and use of hydrogen, as well as information about this initiative, which already comprises about 160 companies and institutions. In this regard, more than 50 companies became interested in the project and the possibility of being part.
The panels of the Valley’s stand, located in the Carbon-Free Energies Area, contained information around the Hydrogen Valley of Catalonia and the corporate image of the precursors of the initiative, the URV, Repsol, Enagás, Generalitat de Catalunya, AEQT, Diputació de Tarragona, Port de Tarragona and Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona, as well as the institutes that form, together with the URV, the Alliance of Knowledge of the project: IREC, ICIQ and Eurecat.
So the stand, with a continued influx of visitors, most of whom attended the demonstration of the operation of a miniature hydrogen car, about ten minutes long, and the initiative aroused much interest. Last june, the webinar about the Hydrogen Valley of Catalonia, also organized by Expoquimia, had already been a success. This Friday, 24 September, the Hydrogen Vally of Catalonia will also have a stand in La Nit de la Recerca (the Research Night), organized by the URV.
