This manufacturer of equipment for transporting, distributing and storing fuels and liquid gases is a pioneer in the use of a green hydrogen plant for self-consumption
Last Thursday, the company Indox Energy Systems, located in Urgell, was chosen for the first of the visits organised by the Hydrogen Valley of Catalonia to its member companies. Above all, the visit served to share doubts and knowledge about Indox’s projects involving green hydrogen. A manufacturer of equipment for transporting, distributing and packaging fuels and liquid gases, Indox is the first Catalan company with a green hydrogen plant for self-consumption and is engaged in projects for developing this energy vector.
The company has several facilities in Anglesola and Fonolleres, and the visit took in the plant manufacturing storage tanks and the plant producing hydrogen for self-consumption. Next to the plant there is a large-scale mural on the history, importance, operation and uses of hydrogen, which makes clear the importance of this energy vector for Indox Energy Systems. In June, on the day the plant was opened, it was visited by the Catalan Government’s Minister of Enterprise and Employment, Roger Torrent.
Every month, the Hydrogen Valley of Catalonia is planning to visit one of its member companies interested in getting involved in hydrogen projects. For the moment, some companies have already shown interest and the next visit is scheduled for 20 October. The company chosen is Evarm, an integration engineering company specialised in the conversion of professional vehicles to alternative fuels.
